One of Envig's products, the 4C Catalytic Carbon Composite Filter Cartridge, is a powerful chloramine and hydrogen sulfide removal solution with four stages of filtration. The signature catalytic carbon in this filter has 10 times more removal capability than regular activated carbon, effectively addressing the "chlorine smell" that many people experience in their tap or filtered water due to the presence of chloramine.

The proprietary design of the 4C filter features a polypropylene shell that blocks large particles and insoluble matter, extending the life of the carbon filter. The 1-micron inner polypropylene shell prevents the release of carbon fines into the filtered water, eliminating the need for initial flushing. The copper-zinc media in the filter converts contaminants into harmless components through electron exchange.

Reverse osmosis (RO) systems may not effectively remove chloramine, as the carbon pre-filter is often made of regular activated carbon, which is not as effective in reducing chloramine concentrations. The 4C filter can be used as a pre-filter in RO systems to provide chloramine-free drinking water.

The 4C filter is designed to reduce a wide range of impurities, including chloramine, hydrogen sulfide, chlorine, iron, heavy metals, lead, VOCs, and taste and odor. It is compatible with Solo systems and other standard 10" x 2.5" water filters, and can be used as a standalone filter or as a CTO or GAC filter in RO systems.

The 4C filter offers superior taste and odor removal, a fast flow rate of 2.5 gallons per minute, and a capacity of up to 8,000 gallons or six months, depending on water quality. It provides a wonderful, cleaner water experience for users.
